Legendary German dance producer Zedd recently joined forces with Maren Morris and Grey for a pop-infused collaboration on “The Middle.” The Grammys‘ stage was loaded with remarkable performances, and the German producer premiered the official music video for “The Middle” on the stage.
The music video, which is presented by Target, will be used in their Spring Style clothing campaign starting on February 4, 2018.
With Zedd on piano and vocals, Grey on drums and guitar, and Morris laying out the topline, the official music video for “The Middle” has most certainly solidified the fact that Zedd has transitioned into pop music. The myriad of dancers that flock around Morris and scuff up the stage are standard features of a pop music video. Furthermore, his previous releases (“Stay” and “Get Low“) are most definitely that of pop music.
We’re not complaining, though. The iconic producer and DJ always has (and hopefully will) bring a unique sound to whatever genre he decides to produce.
Anton Zaslavski, better known by his stage name Zedd, is a Russion-German DJ, musician, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and record producer. His music is generally focused on electro house, but he’s recently taken a dive into pop music. His most recent collaborations with Alessia Cara (“Stay“), Foxes (“Clarity“), and Ariana Grande (“Break Free“) achieved immense support from around the world and smashed the Billboard Hot 100 charts. At the 56th Grammy Awards, Zedd won Best Dance Recording for his track “Clarity.”
