Dance music kingpins Zedd and Martin Garrix have finally come together to release their first ever collaboration together, “Follow.”

The festival anthem was released on Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS and pulls the best of Zedd and Garrix’s sounds into one high octane tune. It opens with a sparkling arpeggio that floats around dark piano. Distant sound effects can be hurt pulsing around in the background, and it finally ups the ante once the classic Zedd synth and bass combination dives in.

The primary bass is reminiscent of the ones used in tracks like “Stay the Night,” “Addicted to a Memory,” and “I Want You to Know.” It’s edgy, crunchy, and nostalgic.

Both artists have teased the tune for a few weeks, with Garrix recently playing it out live to 70,000 people at a show.

Zedd has certainly not been quiet when it comes to new music. He recently released a strong collaboration with Disclosure called “You’ve Got To Let Go If You Want To Be Free,” a track about letting go of your anxieties and being free.

Garrix’s STMPD recording studio received a stunning renovation in the summer of 2020, with a Dolby Atmos Premier Studio certification. This is the highest certification Dolby offers for a dubbing stage. The studio was renovated with artists and creatives in mind.

“I’m so incredibly proud of what we have managed to accomplish with the studios,” states Martin Garrix in a press release. “It’s one of my favorite places to be, since the atmosphere is like nowhere else. The team always works tirelessly to make everyone feel at home and make sure they get the best possible result. I’m super happy with the outcome of the renovation and am looking forward to recording lots of music here.”
