After two separate and impressive releases from both TruFeelz‘s “Blast” and Homemade Spaceship‘s “Come Correct,” the two budding bass producers shift gears on this “Hyperdrive” collaboration. Buckle up as your mind transitions into another dimension.
TruFeelz (real name Matt Thornton) and Homemade Spaceship (real name Rob LeVere) curate a hyperactive track that’s blended with psytrance towards the end. They immediately get things fired up with eerie synths demanding attention at the beginning. It plays upon panning and stereo imaging with a heavy influence on sound design. It then transitions into a swift build-up and unleashes into a monstrous drop with deep sub basses and mid-basses. The sounds utilized throughout are crunchier than the fresh crab legs, and the psytrance implementation towards the end is an incredible way to close out this high octane piece.
The year 2019 was huge for TruFeelz’s musical career. He headlined a sold out show at The Black Box in Denver, Colorado in 2018 and toured across the country with the a 17-date national support tour with SoDown that kicked off on March 1, 2019 at the Ogden Theater in Denver. He then took over stages at festivals like Sonic Bloom, Electric Forest, Saturdays In The Park, Impakt Music Festival, and more.
Homemade Spaceship has already taken off, having already performed nationally with acts such as Griz, FKJ, Minnesota, The Floozies, and more. His genre-blending sound takes dubstep, future bass, drum and bass, trap, and house to new heights, and this collaboration with TruFeelz is certainly a solidifying factor of that.
