The Chainsmokers are taking their music to new heights.

Alex Pall and Drew Taggert will be launched 20 miles above earth to perform in 2024. The duo’s trip will take them up in a pressurized capsule that is tied to a stratospheric balloon. The Chainsmokers are partnering with exploration company World View to complete the mission.

World View’s mission is to “inspire the global community to rediscover Earth.” Taggert and Pall are going excited for the excursion and are looking to utilize the knowledge and inspiration they gain from the trip to fuel future projects.

“We have always dreamed of going to space and are stoked to collaborate with World View to have this adventure and experience,” reads a quote from The Chainsmokers on We Rave You. “We know the views of both Earth and space are going to be incredible and inspiring and we hope to leverage this flight for creativity on future projects.”

Space flight and exploration is incredibly expensive, but that isn’t stopping many companies from innovating ways to take the word “adventure” to new heights. World View’s goal is to expand space exploration to all people from every part of the world. These once-in-a-lifetime experiences can heavily inspire people to create art or come to terms with something they’ve been struggling with.

“One of our goals is to make space tourism more accessible to people from all walks of life, including artists, who we know can tell powerful stories after seeing the wonder of Earth and space,” Ryan Hartman, World View’s CEO, tells We Rave You. “World View is proud to be the first space tourism company to provide this experience to musical artists.”

The total cost of the trip will cost an eye-popping $50,000 and a deposit of $5,000. The trip will last six- to eight-hours.
