Digital service providers like Spotify have worked diligently to make music distribution easier for artists and musicians. Now, SoundCloud Premier is allowing its Pro and Pro Unlimited users to distribute their music directly to Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Spotify, Instagram, and Apple Music. This is available at no extra cost to the aforementioned users.
This nifty feature keeps SoundCloud in the running for being a premiere streaming and social media platform for content creators. When a user distributes their music through SoundCloud Premier, they will retain the distribution royalties and rights to their music. The service is currently in the beta stage, and the creators that are eligible are notified via email and in-product notifications.
“Only SoundCloud empowers creators with a unified platform to instantly upload, share, and connect with fans in real-time and get paid for their work everywhere – both on SoundCloud and across other leading music services,” states Kerry Trainor, CEO at SoundCloud. “Creators can now spend less time and money jumping between different tools, and more time making music, connecting with fans, and growing their careers first on SoundCloud.”
