Sony Music and Tencent, a Chinese tech giant that operates QQ Music, Kuwo Music, and Kugou Music, have teamed up to create their very own Asian dance music label called Liquid State.

This is an impressive joint effort, as Asia has an impressive dance music audience and a slew of producers. Among one of the multi-talents on the label will be the internationally successful EDM superstar Alan Walker. He’s currently signed to Sony Music imprints. ZHU, a former Columbia Records-signee, will also be joining Liquid State.

The newly created Asian dance label is aimed at taking advantage of Asia’s exponentially growing EDM market. In doing so, they’ll develop and showcase a multitude of local talent as well as international artists that posses connections to Asia.
