Established dubstep masterminds Derek Andersen and Scott Land, better known as SLANDER, have tag teamed Dylan Matthew for a monstrous single called “Hate Being Alone.” In addition, they released their The Headbangers Ball EP. The EP consists of the previously released “Running to You” with Spag Heddy and “You Don’t Even Know Me” with RIOT.
A subtle sliding guitar, Matthew’s vocals, and distant percussion open “Hate Being Alone.” The atmospheric elements build perfectly. The build-up, however, unleashes with the detrimental mid basses, fast-moving percussion, and relentless pitch bending sound effects. The features a dubstep movement, but it continually throws in extra kicks, snare hits, and more alongside the rapid moving synth and bass that pulses throughout.
