Seth Hills has let loose a highly anticipated electro house anthem he’s been teasing for months.
“Light” departs Hills’ traditional sound. In previous releases, he’s approached production from a more melodic perspective by leveraging more synths and encapsulating melodies. But the rising house music star is making a big impression on Martin Garrix and his STMPD RCRDS label imprint with this enlightening bright departure.
Drawing the curtain back just enough to tease listeners in, Seth Hills pairs it with a disquieted ambiance. As the light becomes brighter, Hills’ production style gets bigger. The plucking bass melody cleverly works its way through the reverbs and effects. The energy is built perfectly until it’s released into the elephantine drop, which is sure to light up any club around the world.
