Porter Robinson’s Virtual Self alias has released futuristic first EP

Porter Robinson‘s futuristic moniker, Virtual Self, seems to say the words that some can’t seem to utter, all through music. Analog saw waves, start-stop effects, total silence as transitions, fast-moving build-ups that dive head first into a stunning drops, and cunning acoustic and electric instruments. They say the beauty lies within the eyes of the beholder, and this EP is most certainly the beholder.

To aid in the EP’s creativity, Virtual Self added what seems to be split personalities with two names: Technic-Angel and Pathselector, each of them having their own style to them. Technic-Angel’s tracks tend to be more energetic and bright, while Pathselector’s tracks are darker and perform at a higher BPM. The debut EP features five high energy tracks: “Particle Arts,” “Ghost Voices,” “a.i.ngel (Become God),” “Key,” and “EON BREAK”

Prior to the EP’s release, Robinson teased fans with the lead singles “EON BREAK” and “Ghost Voices.” Each track’s uniqueness takes beauty to a new level, while “Key” goes back in time with Robinson’s extraordinarily successful “Language.”

Porter Robinson will debut the Virtual Self alias at New York City’s Avant Gardner on Friday, December 8. Being that Robinson is behind it, the production quality, effects, and sound will be a truly superior electronic and nostalgic masterpiece.
