Scottish trio Chvrches know how to write music that tugs at the heart strings. They released their last album Love Is Dead in May 2018. Furthermore, their Hansa Session was a beautiful acoustic and string quartet arrangement. Their unique blend of orchestral and electronic makes their collaboration on “Here With Me” with electronic music superstar Marshmello an eye-opening one.
Coming off of the masked producer’s collaboration with the late Lil Peep on “Spotlight,” Marshmello maintains the energizing sound he’s recognized for. Chvrches’ vocals pair perfectly with Marshmello’s melodies and grungy percussion and bass. Brass stabs, a light melody, and structure that flows smother than the Nile River, Marshmello and Chvrches know how to pull you multiple directions.
