Kygo palm trees outside sunglasses

Global pop and tropical house music phenomenon Kygo has already made a huge impact on the world with his beautiful melodies, emotional music videos, and humble personality. In an effort to spread awareness for World Suicide Prevention Day and raise funds for treatment, the Norwegian musician has pledged an astonishing $30,000 to the Tomorrow Needs You campaign. Tomorrow Needs You is a campaign that’s organized by To Write Love On Her Arms.

While spreading awareness about mental health and raising funds for treatment, Tomorrow Needs You also “encourages honest conversations about suicide and sharing the ways in which we can work to prevent it.”

Kygo stated in an Instagram post that “This year has been a tough year in the music industry, and I think it’s time mental health is taken seriously.” With the death of Avicii, Kygo’s biggest inspiration, earlier this year, mental health awareness continues pry its head in and prove its importance in today’s society. Thankfully, artists, musicians, and professionals are spreading a positive message and promoting mental health awareness and treatment.
