KSHMR and R3HAB have joined forces for a dreamy collaboration of “Islands.” Prior to the “Islands” release, the two culturally and musically versatile electronic prodigies have paired up on “Strong” and “Karate,” both of which garnered a great amount of success.
“Islands” is everything to be expected from a KSHMR and R3HAB collaboration. The track features KSHMR’s cunning four-on-the-floor rhythm, while R3HAB incites a remarkable energy and emotion throughout the piece. While the vocals featured are from an unidentified female vocalist, they certainly enhance the beauty of the island we’re taken to.
Niles Hollowell-Dhar, better known by his stage name KSHMR, is a DJ, musician, and record producer from Berkeley, California. In 2015, DJ Mag ranked him at No. 23 in their Top 100 DJs. They also awarded him “The Highest New Entry.” He’s also the founder of Dharma Worldwide, a label he founded in July of 2017.
Fadil El Ghoul, also known as R3HAB, is a DJ and record producer from Breda. He’s also known as one of the key players in the modern Dutch house subgenre, alongside Afrojack and Chuckie. Ghoul also won the IDMA Best Breakthrough Artist Award at WMC in Miami in 2012.
The two electronic artists are certainly known for their ability to produce melodies that speak to the listener, and “Islands” is most definitely not an exception. It’s the perfect anthem for major festivals and the club. We’re super excited to see what KSHMR and R3HAB have in store for 2018.
