Krewella and Lookas pair up for heated collaboration, ‘Alarm’

There’s continually good music being released on Fridays, and this collaboration between Krewella and Lookas is certainly one of those “fire” tracks. The collaboration, titled “Alarm,” made an appearance during a live stream, and fans were instantly alarmed. “Alarm” was released through Monstercat. Krewella and Lookas are certainly no strangers to the Monstercat community, having a plethora of smash hits released through the iconic dance music label.

“Alarm” is Lookas’ first vocal track since 2015, and it takes a pop turn with a wobbling guitar, trap percussion, future bass bass line, and wavy synths plastered throughout. Krewella’s vocals are extraordinarily catchy and are the perfect additive to Lookas’ impeccable trap production. Furthermore, “Alarm” is the second single from Lookas’ upcoming EP.

Krewella is an electronic music duo from Northbrook, Illionis that consists of sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf. The group was originally a trio, with their third member being Kristopher Trindl (Rain Man). Rain Man was removed from the group back in 2014. With successful albums and EPs like Play Hard and Get Wet, the duo is certainly a standout electronic act in the music industry.

Lookas is a Miami, Florida-based electronic producer and is known for relentless, massive trap music that rumbles any speaker he gracefully is played through. His career quickly took off when he released a slamming remix of DVVB and Borgeous’ track “Tsunami,” which was remixed with HLTR$KLTR. Lookas’ music plays a fundamental role in shaping the current and future trap music genre.
