PC: Knock2

San Diego, CA-based breakout bass house DJ and producer Knock2 has shared his genre bending EP, ROOM202, on NIGHTMODE.

Last year, Knock2 performed at some of dance music’s most coveted stages, including Red Rocks and EDC Las Vegas. He also performed a number of shows in Japan. And this latest EP sends a loud message that Knock2 is here to stay and will continue taking over the scene.

He opens the EP with “Make U SWEAT!,” a track he released as a single last month. It contains parallels to his classic “dashstar*” track, such as the crispy melodies, edgy sound design, and relentless percussion. “REWiND” follows behind “Make U SWEAT!” with flourishing pad synths and wild sound design.

Knock2 carries the energy through into “gettin’ hott,” “Are U Feelin Me,” which features dance-pop star DEV. Most recognized for her smash hits “In The Dark” and “Bass Down Low” from 2011.

Prior to ROOM202, Knock2 has bursted onto the scene with high-octane tracks like “dashstar*,” which was followed up by a VIP edit and a trap remix from Yellow Claw, and “SPEAK up!” His debut headline show, Room202, kicked off in Los Angeles and teamed up with Brownies & Lemonade. This sparked more shows in San Francisco and then his hometown of San Diego.

As this quickly burgeoning DJ and producer continues to make headlines across the dance music scene, his music will surely make an impact with his unique sound.
