Kaskade’s Sun Soaked festival gets the guillotine due to ‘falling short’

Sun Soaked festival gets cancelled three weeks before its annual event.

With the third annual Sun Soaked festival just around the corner, electronic music pioneer and Sun Soaked festival founder, Kaskade, shared an announcement via Instagram: “But at a little less than three weeks out, it’s become obvious to me that we are falling short, and I’ve been left with an impossible choice.”

The first and second years of the festival did well. The first year sold 12,000 tickets, and 2018’s event sold 30,000 tickets in its first 30 minutes. While there’s no information as to how many tickets this year’s event sold, artists and DJs like Logic, Grimes, and Kaskade were ready to go.
