Furniture store IKEA has shared more information on their collaboration with legendary dance music trio Swedish House Mafia. The trio dropped a fiery album called Paradise Again last month.

IKEA announced the partnership with Swedish House Mafia back in September 2021. Their newest revelation includes prototypes of products that are slated to be released in the fall of 2022. This new lineup is aimed at young and up-and-coming producers to provide them quality products without breaking the bank. All products were designed by IKEA’s designer Friso Wiersma.

“The topic of making music at home was a new world to many of us at IKEA, so it’s been challenging and a lot of learning,” Wiersma explains in an IKEA blog post. “But it’s so nice to work with people like the guys in Swedish House Mafia. They have a strong creative vision in everything that they do, and they’re people who, in a good way, want to have control over every small little detail. As a designer, I’m the same. I’m meticulous. I love solving and thinking about even the smallest little stitch in a bag. It’s been a really good match in that sense.”

By creating numerous versions of IKEA’s Frakta bag, it will enable producers to do more by carrying gear, laptops, and even vinyl records.
