Late last year, Horizon teamed up with Cali Dbn for a fiery collaboration on “Got It.” Earlier this year, he dropped an equally as ferocious track called “Ritual” on Sunday Records. He’s now back to kick off May Day and inject some creepiness into your life with “Paranoia.”
Horizon begins “Paranoia” with a drone-like bass pad and piercing strings. It soon launches into the percussion and then rockets off into the build-up, which is sure to turn heads. Vocal chops that pitch up words alongside the percussion allow for Horizon to pack power into the sound design in the drop. The screeching sound design, bolstering basses, and punching percussion incite a total sound design riot, but we’re okay with that. This is a headbanger’s dream sound.
