Playful dubstep, drumstep, and riddim masterminds Hi I’m Ghost released “Spookier Riddim” on the Riddim Network on Monday. “Spookier Riddim” has been an anticipated release following the group’s debut release “Spooky Riddim.” The debut track garnered support from some of bass music’s heavyweights, including Snails, Riot Ten, and Figure. Furthermore, it put Hi I’m Ghost on a global map for bass fans around the world.
Hi I’m Ghost start “Spookier Riddim” with an eerie angelic pluck that sounds something of a wind-up toy. Choir stabs quickly become introduced, while the duo quickly builds into their signature riddim/drumstep sound. Hi I’m Ghost’s impeccable sound design make this duo stand much taller than other riddim producers and DJs. Furthermore, their song structures continue to baffle the minds of many. “Spookier Riddim” was a long wait, but it was surely worth it.
