The TikTok partnerships continue to expand and benefit content creators on the platform.

Music production library company Harvest Media and TikTok have formed a unique partnership that will offer TikTok creators a direct avenue into production music for their content. Customers of Harvest Media will be able to monitor their usage of their music on TikTok with a proprietary self-service system.

“We’re seeing a real trend toward delivering production music to social platforms,” Harvest Media’s managing director Angus Hayes says in a press release. “Production music has a role to play in the expanding multi-million dollar market surrounding UGC, and companies want to get involved, either to keep track of any use of their music or to encourage users to dig into their catalog.”

Harvest Media’s core business is to operate with a global network of musicians and creators to collaborate. Connecting music publishers and sales/marketing agents from all over the world, their platform and catalogues have become a go-to for professionals in sync in advertising, TV production, and motion pictures.

The industry of music metadata is messy but it’s more important than ever. That’s why Harvest Media has built a proprietary state-of-the-art platform that is self-service. With this system metadata is kept in pristine condition and audio format migration is used to reduce time-consuming double handling on both sides.

“The production music world is bigger and more diverse in its needs than most people imagine,” adds Hayes. “Music catalogs need to be everywhere. To ensure this, we’ve built a near indestructible network of catalogues, enabling our clients to transact their marketing and sales globally. As part of our remit, we assist our clients to get their music and metadata deep into workflows of services of all kinds, including short-form video apps like TikTok.”

This partnership comes shortly after TikTok has inked a number of deals with other major technology platforms, including UnitedMasters. Users of the social media platform can also participate in live shopping.
