Late last year, bass music quick riser, Gammer, released his fiery THE DROP EP on Monstercat. This diverse, hard-hitting EP exploded with four tracks, including “Let’s Get Crunk,” “Stay Tonight” (ft. Dylan Matthew), “Beam of Light,” and the title track, “THE DROP.” Now, to carry on the transformative bass music Gammer sound, Gammer releases part one of THE DROP remixes. Artists like 4B, NvrLeft, Skellism, Slippy, Stonebank, and Wooli all have a heavy bass note on the EP.
The EP begins with 4B and NvrLeft’s trap/breaks remix. It starts off slowly, but don’t let that fool you. This trippy track quickly moves into glitchy, silence-filled piece that inevitably makes you want to move. The second remix is Skellism’s trap masterpiece with whining synths, deep bass, and unwavering sound design. The latter half of the EP finishes with Slippy, Stonebank, and Wooli remixes. Stonebank’s remix takes an electro house approach, while Wooli moves into his distorted, heavy drumstep sound. There’s a little something in this remix EP for everyone. If not, stay tuned for part 2.
