A few months after the first annual Lost Lands festival in Thornville, Ohio, Excision has released a bass heavy mix and compilation album, which features an original track with Dion Timmer and Messinian called “Hoods Up.” The Lost Lands festival creator and Dion Timmer came together in bass for “Africa” on Excision’s 2016 Virus.
The annual Shambhala mix left fans with an incredible sound in their ears, and the Lost Lands mix will take Shambhala’s place. The compilation album contains mixes from industry heavyweights as well as up-and-coming artists. Jeff Abel is the bass mogul behind the Excision alias. He’s a Canadian producer and DJ who has collaborated with artists like Datsik and Downlink, among others. He’s also the founder of Rottun Recordings. Abel has been active since 2004, and released his X Rated album on deadmau5’s mau5trap in 2011.
