Fast-rising Australian bass prodigy EDDIE has released his deep and dark Onzeker Kraft Vol. 1 EP on Rezz’s HypnoVizion label.

This demanding sophomore EP is an unexpected twist to the producer’s usual sound. It opens with “No Tomorrow,” a collaboration with Canadian bass duo The Arcturians. After the sun sets on “No Tomorrow,” we’re reeled into “Apparatus Box,” a distorted heavy ensemble of glitches and TV static. Next up we’re greeted with “Incubator,” the first single released from the EP. It also features a booming blend of distorted synths, deep basses, and emphatic metallic one-shots. The second drop is where EDDIE shows the darker side.

The EP closes out with “Post-Rave Heist,” a collaboration with LŪN, and “Hypnotic.” “Post-Rave Heist” is peppered with eerie vocals, ear-scratching alarm synths and, of course, a pulverizing kick and bass combination. EDDIE taps fknsyd for “Hypnotic,” the final track of the EP. She is known for her vocals with bass heavyweights Rezz, RL Grime, and SLANDER.

The EP is one of EDDIE’s best bodies of work to date. It shows that his evolution as a producer knows no bounds and is ever-present throughout the entire piece. He stated this is the “most effort” he’s ever “put into a project.”

“Quite simply, this is the most effort I’ve put into a project,” EDDIE says in a press release shared with EDM In a Soda. “It’s got a heavy festival trippy feel to it with sprinkles of melodic sections and emotive vocals. I couldn’t be more hyped for everyone to get down to this new era of the EDDIE sound.”

EDDIE has quickly made a name for himself. Mau5trap label boss deadmau5 discovered him and released his debut album, Pipe Dream, which catapulted him further into the bass music world. His sound quickly caught on and was then picked up for more releases on leading dance labels like Monstercat, Deadbeats, TMRW Music, Bassrush Records, and more. He’s also provided official remixes for Zeds Dead, deadmau5, and Zomboy.
