“Festival trap” staple, DJ, and producer Carnage is retiring from music.

Carnage smashed into the dance music scene with a high energy genre called “festival trap.” The genre was quite different and broke the monotonous four-on-the-floor house music sound and shaped modern trap music into what it is today. Furthermore, his gritty drum and bass and hardstyle productions certainly found their own home within the genre.

His innovation within EDM has catapulted him into many other genres, and have given him the opportunity to work with high profile rappers like Wiz Khalifa, G-Eazy, Mac Miller, and more.

In 2018, he stepped away from music temporarily to focus on his mental health at the recommendation of his therapist and doctor.

“I have so much to offer to this world, BUT I need to make sure that I’m 100% once again,” Carnage said. “My therapist & doctor are recommending that I take some time off to get my head back in the game.”

Before Carnage departs the music industry, he will be embarking on a goodbye tour with stops in five cities across the globe, including Hollywood, California; Houston, Texas; and Australia.
