Dillon Francis DJ Hanzel

Dillon Francis has signed his Dillon Francis-hating alter-ego DJ Hanzel to a global distribution deal with Create Music Group.

Francis’ new deep house moniker, DJ Hanzel, has signed an exclusive deal with Create Music Group, a music distributor and music services company based in Los Angeles, California. The company recently purchased a majority stake in The Nations, and are responsible for catapulting careers for artists like Lil Yachty, Marshmello, Don Diablo, Metro Boomin’, and many more.

Dillon Francis has been a long-standing dance music comedian in addition to his immense talent. DJ Hanzel is Francis’ alter-ego that has inherited his sense of camaraderie and humor over the years. They’ve also collaborated on music together in the past.

“Since time immemorial, peasants, rubes and all-around losers have attempted, but never achieved, going ‘ONE DEEPER,'” DJ Hanzel says in a press release shared with EDM In A Soda. “In this rich tradition, we bear witness to Dillon Francis falling short of my sublime depth. Like some kind of musical gladiator, I have slayed my inferior rival Dillon Francis, and he must now accept his defeat and with it, his new moniker I have bestowed upon him: Der Pottyman. Of course I will go on to celebrate joining the Create Music family, and I will do so with dignity and grace, while Der Pottyman languishes in artistic banality. For it is truly an honor for me to embark on a new journey going one deeper with the amazing team at Create Music Group.”

DJ Hanzel has released two hot singles “Make Me Feel” and “Talkin’,” as well as performed at legendary festivals like Coachella. Despite stealing all of Dillon Francis’ fans, DJ Hanzel does not intend to make it to the masses.

DJ Hanzel – Make Me Feel

The partnership between DJ Hanzel and Create Music Group will assist Hanzel in creating a song that even he has not heard before, as well as producing music without listening to it.

“I have had the pleasure of watching DJ Hanzel build his career up over the years and gradually become a megastar,” Thomas Garcia, CMG’s director of A&R for dance/electronic, said. “We are thrilled to be working with him and hope that he and Dillon never end up in the same room together at Create Music Group headquarters.”
