The young Swedish producer Didrick is one of the most underrated producers out there. Making melodic and soulful tracks such as “A Part Of You” and “Smoke,” he is also remixing big stars like actress Uma Thurman, EDM aficionado Porter Robinson, pop princess Kelly Clarkson, and recently retired superstar Avicii.
As Monstercat reveals their lineup for the new melodic label Instinct, with Vicetone, Grabbitz, Rogue, and Didrick as the main acts. The latter released a track today, titled “Ready To Fly,” with well- known voice and producer of the band Owl City, Adam Young. Who, in late 2000, had chart-topping hits like “Fireflies” and “Good Time” (ft. Carly Rae Jepsen). It’s a feel-good track by Didrick, who combines his producer skills with the melodic influence from the Owl City almost cheesy pop trademark as we know it. One cannot help but be drawn into the lyrical qualities of the song which settles nicely into the rhythm Didrick has added. His synth and percussion work make this a worthy song of being on repeat and staying in your head for days.
For the Swedish born Didrick it was a dream come true, and stated as such while working with the famous Adam Young: “I grew up listening to his music, and he’s been a huge inspiration to me ever since I got into producing music. For me, the song represents having the courage to believe in and follow your dreams — to take that leap of faith, and to know that someone always has your back. Hopefully the song can inspire people to do just that.”
