Coachella has always been amongst one of the world’s biggest money making festivals in the world since 2012, according to Pollstar. That was until 2016, when Desert Trip snatched that title. Now, the iconic summer festival gains its spot back after seeing a 20% increase in total revenue.

In 2017, Coachella grossed a mind-shattering $114,593,000.

This massive influx in revenue can be delegated to its incredible capacity–99,000 in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, Coachella saw an attendance of 125,000, which lead to a 26.26% increase in ticket sales. The general admission tickets stayed the same price, but the VIP prices plummeted from $1,599 in 2016 to $899 in 2017.
