Cakewalk by BandLab SONAR

Cakewalk was purchased by BandLab from Gibson

The company behind one of the many versatile digital audio workstations called SONARCakewalk, was purchased by BandLab from Gibson Brands, which is coming close to bankruptcy.

BandLab is ridding the name SONAR and rebranding as Cakewalk by BandLab. The newly rebranded product will be available be available for free and have “unlimited feature access.” It’s currently available on Windows only.

Cakewalk by BandLab will contain everything that SONAR Platinum contained

SONAR was a feature rich program, and BandLab is going to keep it that way by providing all of SONAR’s core premium features, including the Skylight user interface, flexible ProChannel module, and the stunning end-to-end 64-bit mix engine. This will continue to position the program as an extremely versatile and user-friendly program.

The SONAR legend will live on
