Chicago brother bass duo Birthdayy Partyy are launching into 2020 with an original midtempo track dubbed “Befriend or Destroy.”
“Befriend or Destroy” is one of the duo’s hardest-hitting tracks they’ve released and it is clearly shown throughout. In the Fall of last year, they released an infectious remix of Quad City DJs’ iconic “Space Jam.” Their fancy synth work in the beginning lines up an energy that features a fast-paced arpeggio, angelic pads, and piercing stabs. Birthdayy Partyy build the track into a beautifully cultivated future bass style during the first drop. The breakdown after builds into the sharp and contrasting midtempo section. The gut-punching kick and sinister mid-bass heats things up faster than a broiling oven.
Birthdayy Partyy are embarking on their third year as a bass duo, and there’s certainly no signs of them slowing down. 2020 is slated to be their biggest year yet with festival appearances, label releases, and equally as astonishing live shows.
